The following are the official Elite Design Awards competition Rules and Regulations
DO YOU HAVE PHOTO RIGHTS?
Please make sure you either have ownership of the photos you are submitting or have photo rights to consent to the images being used in Decor Cabinets marketing.
Other tips:
Make sure your images are high-quality and can be easily viewed on the web and mobile screens.
You can submit up to eight photos per project, the more photos the better!
If submitting a floor plan, a digital photo of the floor plan is acceptable.
Only finished projects are eligible for entry; no renders are allowed.
The photos submitted become property of Decor Cabinets and will not be returned. Photos may be used for varying marketing purposes. We will credit the dealer/designer when applicable and promise to always share your designs in a positive light.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER?
ELIGIBLE TO ENTER:
Designers employed by an active Decor Dealer (who designs cabinetry projects made with Decor products).
NOT ELIGIBLE TO ENTER:
Employees of Decor Cabinets and/or their immediate family members.
Designers who are not affiliated with a Decor Dealer.
HOW TO WRITE A GREAT DESIGN STATEMENT
Creating a concise, effective design statement will help ensure that the judges have a good understanding of your project. Your design statement can be a written short narrative (no more than 1250 characters), a comprehensive bulleted list, or a combination of both describing your design.
- Tell us about your clients and their needs.
- Outline the project objectives and describe the design challenges.
- Share how you met the client’s needs and implemented creative solutions.
- Include details on styling, innovative techniques or product usage.
- Highlight design elements that are unique or memorable.
- Tell us what you loved about this project or how it helped you grow as a designer.
SUBMITTING YOUR PROJECT
The competition runs from May 15, 2023, through July 14, 2023. Entries must be received by the competition’s closing dates to be considered eligible.
Each designer can submit an unlimited number of separate design projects.
- Review the categories and criteria before submitting to ensure your best chance at winning!
- Choose a project you designed this year that fits the entry criteria and is exclusively manufactured by Decor Cabinets.

- Complete the entry form, adding photos, designer info, project info, entry category, and your design statement.
- Double check your entry form, making sure all fields are complete and your best quality images are added.
- Submit your entry!
Entry should not include any identifying client information.
All entries and competition materials received become the property of Decor Cabinets and will not be returned and may be used for marketing purposes.
Previous project winners cannot resubmit the same project.
